Thanks for the feedback! You did well with these 2 options for pain (if you don't have any contraindications to taking them; your pharmacist/caregiver can confirm this).
You can also use lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend for local throat relief.
If you have a feeling of sinus pressure, if your nose is stuffy or runny, even a little bit, I highly recommend nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse, and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference.
If symptoms ever persist for more than 7 days without improvement, or if the fever lasts 72 hours, a doctor should be consulted.
