I have had an intense headache that has persisted for a week. Since yesterday, I also have the back of my jaw (under the ear) that throws me. What should I do?

Hello Ma'am,
Headaches associated with jaw pain can have many different causes. They can be secondary to sinusitis, a complication of an ear infection (mastoiditis), a toothache, a facial injury/surgery, or even an improper position of the head (too far forward and leaning forward) and upper body (amplification of the high spine curve) that can alter the jaw closure. Is any of the above mentioned situations your case? Is this the first time you have had these symptoms? Do you have any medical conditions or are you taking any medications?
Do you have any other symptoms (congestion, fever, difficulty opening/closing your mouth, vomiting, visual symptoms, etc.)? This would allow me to further assess the severity and speed of management.
Actually, in light of the information, since you are experiencing headaches that you describe as "intense", this has persisted for more than 1 week, and there is the appearance of new discomfort in your jaw, I would suggest that you obtain a medical opinion. This will allow you to benefit from an evaluation of your condition and the application of a treatment specific to your needs if necessary.
I hope I have answered your question.
