Hello Mrs,
In general, the symptoms of bronchitis are cough with or without secretions, fever often absent, fatigue, sore throat, etc. Unfortunately, pharmacists cannot make a diagnosis. However, I have some general recommendations for you.
Here are some measures to relieve the symptoms:
  • Pain, fever and headaches: Tylenol (maximum 4000 mg per day)
  • Sore throat: gargle with water and salt (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt in 250 ml of water)
  • Cough : drink water, take honey to soothe the throat
  • Nasal secretions and congestion : Saline solution such as Sinus Rinse twice a day to clean the nose and to limit secretions from the throat
  • Rest well and stay hydrated
  • Wash your hands frequently
If your cough persists for more than 3 weeks or your symptoms worsen significantly despite the measures mentioned in the next few weeks, I suggest to consult a physician for a more in-depth evaluation.
I hope I have answered your question,
Millie Yee, pharmacy student
