Hello, for the last 8 days I have had a sore throat that does not go away. I have difficulty swallowing. I take advil and tylenol to relieve it.

Hello,
pain when swallowing can be a warning sign of strep throat or other infections/viruses. Do you have swollen glands in your neck? Do you have secretions? Do you have any other symptoms?
Some pharmacies offer strep tests, ask at the one nearest you.
For ear pain, a sore throat can be related to ear pain because the ear and throat are connected by the eustachian tube.
Otherwise, in this case, a medical evaluation would be appropriate since you are not seeing any improvement in your case.

Thank you so much! I'll check with my pharmacy or I'll go for a consultation!
