I have a sore throat, and I would like to get better quickly. What can I do about it?

Hello, for about 2 days I have had a sore throat. When I touch my lymph nodes I can feel that it is bigger on the left side than on the right. I don't have a fever and my nose is running.

Hello Mrs.,
Would it be possible to know what you have tried for this to date?
Are you currently taking any other medications?
Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant? Do you have any known allergies or intolerances or contraindications?

Hi! I don't have a sore throat anymore :) I moisturized, lots of honey and some advil and syrup! Thanks!
i was also wondering, I have blocked sinuses which gives me headaches (like pressure) in my temples and neck, I was wondering if this is normal

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
Yes, congestion can cause the sensation of blocked sinuses and headaches and the feeling of pressure. To this end I invite you to try nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, these symptoms can be greatly reduced. It's a little uncomfortable but it works wonders!
Continue to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer. You should continue to notice a gradual improvement every day. If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement or worsens, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
