I have an intense sore throat, red throat, pus on the right tonsil, fever and vomiting. What should I do?

In order to know what you need to do, we need to calculate your modified Centor score (from the chart on page 2 of the following document: https://www.inesss.qc.ca/fileadmin/doc/CDM/UsageOptimal/Guides-serieI/Guide-PharyngiteAmygdalite.pdf.

If your score is 3 or more, you need to see a doctor (note that you should count 1 to fever even if the fever is calmed by Tylenol but nothing as soon as it has been taken for more than 6 hours).

If the score is 2 or less, you need lots of rest, lots of water, avoid irritating foods, and more rest. Tylenol™ will also be continued as needed.
