I have a sore throat, I think I have strep throat. Should I take antibiotics and should I see a doctor?

The back of my throat is quite red. Absence of coughing. I am 19 years old! Actually for the lack of coughing I'm not sure. My throat is irritated so I do cough a little but it's not deep like an all fat .
