Hello,
Is it the movement his torso makes when breathing that hurts?
Is it bronchial pain when breathing?
Has anything happened? A blow? A false move? A cough?

allo, I am the person in question. When I fill my lungs with air it hurts my shoulder like I'm pinching a nerve and it hurts so much that it cuts off my breathing like when I have asthma attacks. When I empty my lungs too, it makes a sharp pain. It's really in the shoulder it doesn't feel like a muscle pain it feels like a pressure point.

Did you get hit? How did it start?

Do you also have pain in your back when breathing?

I didn't get hit. It started during the night while sleeping, I would wake up because it hurt and no I don't have pain in my back

Thanks for the clarification.
So, based on the answers you gave me, I think your problem might decrease with taking an anti-inflammatory. It would help reduce the pain and stiffness.
I feel like your problem is between 2 ribs. If after 7 to 10 days of anti-inflammatories you still have pain, you will need to go to the doctor to make sure you don't have a broken rib.
When you breathe, the rib cage fills with air and expands. When pain is present in a rib or intercostal muscle, simply breathing can cause pain.
If you need a prescription for an anti-inflammatory, I could provide one.
