Headache after hitting a car. What to do?

I hit the back of my head on my car door (simple accident), and since 2 days I have a headache and I have muscle spasms I think, is it serious? I have not had any confusion, vomiting or loss of consciousness! Do I need an MRI?

Hello,Muscle spasms can be from many causes, but the fact that you have been banging your head recently suggests that there may be a connection, even if it is a rather weak one. If you have never had these symptoms before and the situation is stable or has worsened, I would advise you to take steps to talk to a doctor before the long weekend ahead. He or she can run some routine tests (not necessarily an MRI) to make sure everything is okay.
