Hello,
At first glance, it seems that your daughter may have a fungus infection on her nail, which is commonly known as a fungus (you may have seen commercials that were on TV quite often to this effect a few weeks ago). If this is the case, then it is best to consult a doctor, because:
This is not a condition that is often seen in children;
Effective treatments for this type of infection are available by prescription.
In the meantime, make sure her feet are as dry and clean as possible; fungus infections love moisture. If she wears socks, try to use white cotton socks as much as possible, as these create an environment that is unfavorable to fungus. Finally, try to cut her nails as short as possible to remove the "infected part" which is the yellow part
Of course, it is difficult for me to determine for sure what your daughter has without direct visual observation of her nail. If you can give me more information, I can make sure to guide you further. Among other things:
- How long has her nail been yellow?
- What could have caused her nail to turn yellow?
- Is the whole nail affected?
- Is it just the one nail that is affected?
- Have you noticed any other unusual symptoms elsewhere?
You can also send me a picture by email at [Email removed for confidentiality] or come see me in person.
Sincerely,
