No. The fertile window, that is, the time when sexual intercourse can lead to conception, is relatively short, about 3 to 4 days. This is because the sperm is viable for about this time in the woman's body. It has to meet the egg, which will only be viable for a maximum of 24 hours following ovulation. Therefore, there is a 3 to 4 day maximum of fertility around ovulation. Sexual relations should therefore take place at least every 2 days during this period, ideally every day. The sperm does not have to "mature" in the woman's body.
