My boys are coughing even with their inhalers, what can I do?

Hello, my 3 year old and 5 year old boys have a good cough that won't go away and they cough non-stop until they are sick. I already give their pump (orange&blue) morning and night and we do the sinus rinse 3 times a day. Is there anything we can do or should we consult

Hello Sir,
Besides the cough, do your children have other symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose (even a little), sneezing, or other?
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the feedback!
You did well with the nasal hygiene, I would suggest doing it as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime, and of course continuing their inhalers as prescribed.
I would be inclined to suggest an anti-histamine, such as Claritin or Aerius, which may help decrease the congestion and mucus production causing the cough. You can get a good idea of its effectiveness after 5-7 days
I invite you to try this. As a precaution, if you don't notice any improvement after a week, you should consult a doctor.
I hope I have been helpful, please do not hesitate if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
