Can lecithin prevent milk blisters?

I am breastfeeding my almost 5 month old baby. I have had a Milk Blister three times. Each time it is painful and I have to pierce it. I have read that a lecithin supplement can help prevent it from coming back.

Hello!
Indeed, I could find in reliable sources mentioning that lecithin could reduce the recurrence of milk blisters.
You could try taking 1 tablespoon (30 ml) once a day of lecithin OR 1 capsule of lecithin (1200 mg) 4 times a day.
Also be aware that unless you have been instructed by a health care professional, it is not advisable to pierce the blister yourself due to the risk of infection. If you ever want more information on how to treat a milk blister, I suggest this document (page 2 is in French): https://cdn.ciussscentreouest.ca/documents/hgj/pfrc/Breastfeeding_clinic/milk_bleb_ampoule_biling_2018.pdf
I hope I have answered your question correctly,
