I have been taking anastrazole for a year following breast cancer and the osteoarthritis I was already suffering from seems to have gotten worse. In addition to the back, knees and hips, hands, feet, shoulder blades. The stiffness and unlocking has really improved as well.

Hello there,
Anastrozole itself can cause joint pain; it may not be the progression of your osteoarthritis that is causing you problems, but the drug itself
I would encourage you to discuss this with your oncologist, and you may want to consider switching to tamoxifen (Nolvadex), as it usually causes less pain
Your oncologist has many reasons for choosing anastrozole over tamoxifen, so he or she may want you to continue with the prescribed treatment. It should also be noted that a supply shortage is limiting the ability of pharmacies to obtain tamoxifen at this time. Therefore, this may not be the best time to make such a change.
I hope that I have answered your question correctly,
