There are several products for constipation that can be recommended for a pregnant woman. Among the most effective is PEG-3350, known as Lax-A-Day, Restoralax and other brands. It is a tasteless and odorless powder that can be mixed in any liquid, and it works quite quickly.
However, non-pharmacological measures such as drinking plenty of fluids and increasing fiber intake, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains, are also suggested to soften the stool.
