Can I do the laser if I have genital herpes and I am taking the drug valacyclovir?

The manufacturer reports in its monograph a risk of photosensitivity but does not indicate if this is a common side effect with valacyclovir.

I therefore suggest treating only a small area the first few times to evaluate tolerance afterwards.
