Could stopping doxycycline for acne cause an aggressive return of acne?

I am currently using 100mg of doxycycline morning and night in addition to the tactupump cream. I have had this combination for 2 months and it has really helped my skin, but I am supposed to stop the treatment next month. It was my family doctor who gave me the prescriptions and not a dermatologist. Stopping the medication is stressing me out to have a worse comeback than my initial situation. Hello Ma'am, Acne can indeed come back on discontinuation, but this does not happen in most cases after a few months of treatment. In the worst case scenario, one could simply restart the prescriptions if one sees that the pimples are coming back. Happy day, Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
