What is the Virta application?

The Virta app (https://www.virtahealth.com/) is what is known as a digiceutical, meaning that it allows a health problem to be treated through technology. The app connects a diabetic patient with a health coach, a guide to practicing the ketogenic diet, and a community of ketogenic dieters to enable patients to reverse their type 2 diabetes. In the most recent study on the subject, more than half of the people who used it successfully reversed their diabetes. For the moment, the application is not available in Canada. It could therefore be very interesting for your spouse to meet with a dietician/nutritionist in order to recreate, in a way, the conditions that work in Virta. The dietitian will be able to recommend how to follow a ketogenic diet, among other things.
