Hello Ma'am,
A ring should not be kept in your body for more than 3 weeks, as it does not contain enough hormones to protect you for longer.
That said, it is fine to remove the ring after 3 weeks and insert a new one right away, so that you do not have a downtime.
By doing so, one can "skip" the period and do it that way for as long as you want.
