Hello Mrs,
This can happen depending on your diet and hydration level. However, if the situation persists for 3 to 5 days or worsens, I suggest showing the tongue to your pharmacist. Without being able to diagnose the problem, he/she could suggest a cream to be applied on the tongue to attack the problem, if it is deemed to be of fungal origin (fungus). If necessary, he/she can give you other information for treatment (precautions, side effects of some of your medications, change of toothbrush, etc.).
If this does not work after 7 days, you will need to see a doctor so as not to delay the proper treatment.
