My daughter has coughing fits?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been having coughing fits for over 3 weeks. We have also kept a cat in the last week. She is allergic and takes reactine 1x pr day 2,5 ml. But when the 24 hours is over she starts to have respiratory allergy symptoms again. What should I do? Should I take her to a doctor or I saw on the bottle of reactin that I can give her 2x a day too. We got the covid on Feb 1 and she started a cold 3 weeks ago. Her parents coughing fit settled in mid to late February
