I switched my 12 month old to a different kind of milk. He was on Good Start 1 (purple) and I switched to 2 (pink). It's been 3 nights. Since then he wakes up every 20 minutes at night. He was on Alimentum before and I switched to Good Start 1. It worked. He seems to react badly to the 2.

Hello Mrs,
Preparations 1 and 2 are very similar, the quantities of certain ingredients such as calcium or iron may differ. Formula 2 may require a little more "effort" from the digestive system to digest. Keep in mind that it may take 2 weeks after a change to properly assess tolerance
I don't see a problem with giving her step 1 or altering the 2 steps.
I hope I have been helpful to you, I remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you! Could he have "too much iron"? Like it gives him a stomach ache?

Iron supplements are known to cause some discomfort and constipation but it is also other ingredients in the nutritional formula. Basically your child has to "learn" to digest these new foods and it is not without its difficulties at times.
