Hello, my 2 year old daughter has a gastro that started with vomiting and turned into diarrhea after a few days. It has been going on for 6 days. She manages to eat but only in small quantities and she drinks. She has energy and moves around a lot. What can I do to help her get better?

Hello, thank you for your question!
I am reassured that you mention a better condition for your child. An episode of gastroenteritis can be quite upsetting for people, it may take a few days to get back to normal, up to 10-14 days. Since you mention that your child is eating and drinking (even a little) and showing energy, I am not worried
Continue to encourage her to drink small amounts of liquids at a time (one sip every 2-3 minutes) as well as light foods such as broths/soups, soda crackers, toast.
I am available if you have any further questions!

Hello,
thank you for your answer. She still has diarrhea. Is there any food to give or not to give? I have already eliminated blueberries, grapes, dairy products..

If your child is breast-fed, continue to breast-feed. Otherwise, as you do, avoid milk. Avoid juices and drinks because their sugar content can make diarrhea worse.
As for other foods, I suggest broths or soups, saltine crackers (or soda crackers), noodles. Go gradually and increase according to the child's tolerance.
