Is Adalat (90 m'y/day) compatible with N-acetyl-cysteine?

I would like to take N-acetyl-cysteine for my cough, but I don't know if I can do that since I also take Adalat to control my pressure.

Actually, there is very little quality information (like clinical studies for example) on the use of natural products, and this is the case for n-acetyl-cysteine.
The information I found mentions that it is usually safe in adults, but that it could increase the effects of antihypertensive drugs, like your Adalat. So there would be a risk here of low blood pressure (and therefore a potential drop). I therefore recommend that you avoid this product
For your information, this product is also contraindicated if you are using blood thinning drugs (I don't know if you are taking them).
If in doubt, I would refer you to your pharmacist, as he has your complete pharmaceutical file and can therefore better answer your questions.
