Hello,
Unfortunately, some people cannot tolerate the glue on the FreeStyle Libre sensor... What kind of reaction do you have exactly?
If we are talking about a skin reaction such as irritation or burning, some professionals suggest applying 1 or 2 sprays of Flovent, a corticosteroid inhaler often prescribed for asthmatics, on the skin to reduce inflammatory reactions and protect the skin. However, I doubt that the effect of one spray of Flovent is enough to last the 14 days that the sensor should technically remain on the skin. Moreover, Flovent requires a medical prescription to obtain it.
Otherwise, a more common alternative would be CAVILON, a skin protectant (https://bit.ly/347SSXF) that is available over the counter. Not all pharmacies carry it outright, but it can be easily ordered at worst.
Finally, some people talk about applying a Tegaderm on the skin before applying the sensor on top... According to some of my colleagues, the Abbott company says that there is no problem with Tegaderm under the sensor.
I hope that these recommendations will be useful to you and allow you to enjoy the FreeStyle Libre system properly. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me again and I will be happy to assist you.

Thanks for the answer.
I have been using the sensor for a year. I have never had a reaction before
So I am looking for a solution to continue using it. I am not happy about going back to the traditional method of testing. Also, since I often bounce around at night, it's impossible for me to know unless I wake up to check my blood sugar.
Do you think the sensor will stick for 14 days?
I use a tegaderm to protect my sensor when I train in the pool. It comes off after 3 days. I doubt that using a tegaderm between my skin and the sensor would be effective.
I will try the solution you suggest. I will follow up with you.
Thank you again for your help.

From what I have heard from others, the Tegaderm stays in place for 14 days when placed under the sensor. However, relatively continuous exposure to water (in the pool) can reduce the adhesive power of Tegaderm over time. Alternatively, you could apply a small Tegaderm under the sensor and a larger Tegaderm over the sensor when you go swimming (Tegaderm is available in different sizes)
There are also waterproof shower covers that could protect part of your arm where the sensor is located while not restricting your movement. A quick place I found this type of product is on Amazon: https://amzn.to/36dgHQ3
Otherwise, the Cavilon is a more official and proven solution... but I don't know if its protective power holds up despite water exposure.
Please keep me posted and I will be happy to follow up with you
