Should I wait for it to pass or should I give him the antibiotics his doctor prescribed for traveler's diarrhea?

Stomach cramps and soft stools since returning from a trip to the Dominican Republic (6 days ago) in a 4 year old child. He is taking probiotics to help but is having several bowel movements a day and has been complaining of stomach cramps for 7-8 days. No fever or blood in my stool. The stools are "flaky" but not just liquid.
