I have been applying 1% hydrocortisone for 1 week to relieve the redness and dryness on the upper part of the glans but I don't see any improvement. What should I do?

I went to the doctor about 4 weeks ago for redness and dryness on the upper part of the glans. The test results for gonorrhea and chlamydia were negative. I have no pain, no itching and no discharge.

Use of 1% hydrocortisone cream for 1 week

Hello, has it been 1 week since you applied the cream?
You talk about dryness, you could try applying vaseline twice a day to try to moisturize the skin. Hydrocortisone 1% could also be applied before the petroleum jelly, but increased to twice a day. If after another week of applying hydrocortisone + petroleum jelly in the morning and evening does not bring results, I encourage you to return to the clinic.

Yes, I have followed this treatment for a week. However, I was told that this cream could make the skin thinner, is it still okay to use it twice a day for another week?

The 1% hydrocortisone is low potency and does not burn the skin in 1 to 2 weeks of use. I am not concerned about advising you to apply it 2 times a day for another 7 days, in a thin layer, followed by petroleum jelly.
