Unfortunately, identifying the time of ovulation using the thermometer method is complex. First, you usually need an ultra-accurate thermometer, accurate enough to identify a difference of 0.1°C (as the increase in body temperature following ovulation is usually 0.4-0.5°C). Secondly, you should take the oral temperature in the morning, before you get out of bed, drink/eat or urinate, every morning. In this way, you will be able to identify the period of "peak" temperature and then calculate the estimated fertile period according to the length of your cycle.
