I will be living in residence by July. What rights does the residence have in managing my medications?

I am moving into a residence and want to be sure of the rights of the people who will be looking after me. Is there anything prescribed by law?

I am not aware of all the laws that govern residences. However, there is a law that protects anyone in their choice of pharmacy. I know that in some residences, a monthly fee is charged if the resident's medication is taken care of by the residence's staff and the person uses a pharmacy other than the one chosen by the residence. However, a few months ago, a residence association asked its members to stop this practice. Most of the time, if the resident takes care of his or her own medications, the resident decides on everything.
