I take one 1 mg tablet of Anastrozole every day and I have a lot of side effects. Can I cut the tablets in half and take only half a dose a day to reduce the side effects?

Breast cancer (infiltrating ductal carcinoma) operated on 4 years ago, muscle and joint pain, vaginal atrophy, headaches, dizziness, leg cramps, heat, etc., I can't take it anymore and I'll be on it for another year. I was thinking of stopping but I tell myself that it might be less bad to just reduce the dose.

Hello Ma'am,
I recently responded to a similar question: https://app.questionpourunpharmacien.com/question/si-je-cesse-lanastrozole-apres-4-ans-au-lieu-de-5-mes-chances-de-recidive-augmentent-elles-ff5f1
I recommend that you talk to your treatment team who know your case well and will therefore be in a better position than me to advise you.
I can only mention that a dose reduction may affect the effectiveness of the treatment. Fortunately, there are other solutions. As I mentioned in my other answer, I would like to wish you a good evening.
