Hello ma'am,
In order to better understand your needs, would it be possible to know if you have any other symptoms such as stuffy or runny nose, even a little bit?
Are you currently taking any other medications?
Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, greatly helpful!
Considering your symptoms, I would encourage you to continue Tylenol as needed.
I also strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bed. It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well to keep secretions from running down the throat, which often causes coughing.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference.
These will not only be more effective for your cough than syrups but also safer. Most syrups contain ingredients that have no proven efficacy and/or may interact with Trintellix. Also they have not been shown to be more effective than drinking lots of fluids or taking a spoonful of honey when needed.
Lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend can offer local relief from throat irritation as well.
I hope I have been helpful, wish you a speedy recovery, and invite you to contact me if you have any further questions.
Cordially,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
