3 year old girl with red eye and pain?

Hello, I have a little girl of 3 years old who has the left eye which is red inside as around the eye, she says to have pain and her eyes run but it is not yellowish or green then she is inclined to rub the eye! I would like to know what I should do to relieve the pain or should I go to the hospital?
