I've been trying to get pregnant for 9 months and it doesn't work. Would you recommend this product?

Hello,
This is what it says on the company's website about the increased pregnancy rate: '''Pre-SeedTM Fertility Enhancing Lube is formulated to mimic fertile cervical mucus. Clinical research shows that Pre-Seed? Fertility Enhancing Lube allows sperm to swim freely while other lubricants may actually restrict sperm motility. There is currently no data that gives comparative pregnancy rates."
So basically, the company itself admits that it has no data proving that the product increases pregnancy rates and therefore fertility. The company mentions that the product might be better than other lubricants for sperm motility. However, I have not found any studies on this subject.

Thank you very much for your answer
As a pharmacist, would you recommend this product to me, or would you advise me to take something else if I want to get pregnant since it has not worked for the last 9 months (for example, go see my family doctor) or do you have any other alternative that could help me?)
thank you

I do not recommend any over-the-counter products, as none have been proven effective in increasing the chances of getting pregnant.
However, if you have not already done so, I recommend that you start a folic acid (B9) supplement or a pregnancy multivitamin containing B9 to prevent the risk of abnormalities in the child if you become pregnant. Your pharmacist can advise you and prescribe the supplement at the necessary dose according to your medical records.
A couple is considered to have a fertility problem if they have not conceived after one year of regular unprotected sexual relations between a man and a woman. The urgency of seeing a specialist will depend on the age of the woman. For example, if you are under 35 years of age, it is advisable for a couple to consult a specialist after one year of regular unprotected sex, whereas the time frame is shorter, after six months, for women over 35 years of age.
However, nothing prevents you from consulting your family doctor at any time to discuss the subject. He or she will be able to provide you with information on the basic investigations to be carried out.
On your side, there are often several things that can be improved:
  • Adopt healthy lifestyle habits: a balanced diet, appropriate physical activity, avoid alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
  • Aiming for a healthy weight that is your ideal weight: for this, consulting a dietician can help you if necessary
  • Optimize the frequency of sexual relations: several times a week; every two days is generally a recommended frequency so as not to lower the number of spermatozoa or affect their mobility
  • Manage stress: By practicing relaxation activities such as yoga, meditation, walking outdoors, music, drawing,... and many others. It is also by letting go of stress and taking time off as a couple that we can increase our chances of success.
