Thank you for the feedback. That being the case, an opportunistic infection such as thrush is very rare in an 8 year old child who does not have compelling risk factors such as the use of inhalers. As a precautionary measure, and because a diagnosis requires medical evaluation, if the problem persists for more than 7 days or worsens, or if other symptoms occur, a physician should be consulted for further evaluation and, if necessary, to avoid delaying proper management.
Otherwise, monitoring is sufficient for now.
