I have wheezing during breathing?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, for about a week now, I have started to have cilia when I exhale. Being asthmatic, I thought it was my asthma, so I took my ventholin but nothing changed. If I exhale too much, I start coughing. I don't sleep very well because I feel like I'm being squeezed when I exhale. I often have coughing fits. I have tried taking lozenges and syrup and nothing has changed. I would like to know if I should go see a doctor and if you have a solution for me. I'm worried about this, thank you.

Hello, thank you for your question!
Besides Ventolin, do you have any other type of inhaler?

I have flovent (orange pump) to take morning and evening for 7 days in case of flu/cold

Thanks for the feedback!
If you haven't started using it, I can suggest that you start taking Flovent today
I would also opt for nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce their backward flow, which often causes coughing.
For most people, the symptoms of a 'bad cold' will last 5 to 10 days, but the cough is often the last symptom to go away, even after recovery
If it is longer than 10 days and you have not noticed any improvement, you should see a doctor as a precaution.
I hope I have been of some help to you and I am available if you have any further questions!
