Does inositol or ovasitol help with ovulation?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I have been taking prenatal vitamins for several months in order to get pregnant as well as cyclesmart as a natural supplement in order to balance my hormones since I have not been menstruating for almost a year after removing my IUD.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
The sources I consulted for inositol do not indicate any problem with taking it if you are trying to conceive. There would be no interactions with the other products mentioned. I did not find any info on ovasitol though.
Having said that, I did not find any evidence that the product "cyclesmart" is effective in regulating the menstrual cycle. Looking at its ingredients I didn't find much that would help. There is green tea extract (which basically means that the product could contain caffeine), rosemary and turmeric, among others.
Conceiving can take time for some people. However, if it has been a year, it would be advisable to consult a physician for a thorough evaluation of your condition.
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
