I have an internal stye on my lower eyelid. What can I do to reduce the swelling and help it heal?

The swelling has been present for about 3 days under the eye. When I look at the inside of my eyelid, there is a white spot that has grown since yesterday. I often have dry eyes. I have already consulted an ophthalmologist who told me that I had ocular rosacea (and gave me no information about it). I am currently breastfeeding.

Hello,
Not being able to see what your eye problem looks like, it is difficult to determine if you have a stye or another problem (ex: chalazion). Ideally, you should show it to a pharmacist in person for a better assessment. If your eye is not affected, my recommendation would be to apply boiled water compresses slightly cooled on your eyelid for 15 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day to try to dilate the duct that seems to be blocked. If you have discomfort in your eye, it is possible to apply moisturizing drops as needed.

Ocular rosacea is a type of rosacea (or commonly called couperose). Basically, rosacea is a skin disease that creates redness especially on the face (forehead, nose). However, rosacea can also affect the eyes and create inflammation of the eyelids, redness in the eye, discomfort, etc. This can cause the glands to become red and swollen. This can cause the glands that moisturize the eye to function less well, which can lead to dry eyes. It is then recommended to massage your eyelids regularly twice a day and to use moisturizing drops. It would be appropriate to see your ophthalmologist or an optometrist if you need specific information or treatment for this.
I look forward to seeing you,
