Can finasteride affect sexual function?

Is it safe to take finasteride with creatine supplements since taking creation supplements is known to increase DHT level. A dermatologist prescribed me Finasteride 1mg and Rogaine because since I was born, I always had very thin hair and not much hair. After some research. I am curious and I want to know what is the effect on DHT in the body? I guess it won't affect sexual functions to reduce DHT level in the body ? Is only the testosterone responsable for sex drive and muscle mass ? And is it safe to use Finasteride with creatine since Creatine is known to increase DHT level in the body?

Hello, and thank you for your questions! For starters, I have found no indications of interactions between creatine supplements and finasteride. Finasteride only partially prevents the transformation of testosterone into DHT. It does not inhibit the transformation of all DHT, and does not affect testosterone function. As for sexual function, the manufacturer's product monograph does mention certain rare sexual side effects such as issues with libido and erection.
