Is it possible to have an opinion about the drug interaction between my bipolar medication and the supplements recommended by my power lifting coach?

Hello, I am a powerlifter. My coach, as I am overweight, strongly suggested that I do a 6 week cycle of anavar. Obviously, the people in the field are all in favor and the studies seem to be conclusive. What concerns me is that I am also bipolar type 2 and I take epival, quetiapine xr 300 and rivotril (prn).so I would like to have an opinion on drug interaction only. Thank you

Hello,For the moment, Health Canada is against the use of anabolic steroids for obvious reasons of safety for your health. The active ingredient in Anavar is oxandrolone or a derivative. These companies claim that it is the safest anabolic steroid. I do not agree with this statement and it is obvious that the companies that sell these products have a financial conflict of interest. Anabolic steroids are all harmful to your health except in very specific cases when you are being followed by an endocrinologist for a health problem I am also happy to be able to answer your question because considering your current condition, it seems risky to me to take an anabolic steroid which can certainly cause a relapse in the form of mania and a depressive type relapse when stopped.I hope my answer can help you make an informed decision.I am available for other questions, do not hesitate.Jean-François Giguère
