My 16 month old daughter has cold symptoms?

31-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, my 16 month old daughter has symptoms of a cold. The covid test was negative. At first it was a dry cough and clear nasal discharge but it evolved into a wet cough and yellowish discharge. She is constantly crackling when she exhales. It has been about 7 days. Nasal flush and baby's nose blowing several times a day. She had a little fever that lasted 1 hour without medication she left and never came back. General condition good except at night. Uncomfortable. Should I be concerned about the crackling? She doesn't seem to have any difficulty breathing. Would it be good to consult? Thank you!

Hello, thank you for your question!
If you report that your child is in good general condition, there is no need to consult a doctor at this time. You are doing well with nasal hygiene, do it as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. There is no maximum number of times during the day. Often, the crackling sound you hear is due to secretions from the nose that have run down the back of the throat. The best way to decrease this, as well as the cough, is with nasal hygiene
Since it has been 7 days, you should start to notice an improvement, even if gradual, every day
I hope I have reassured you and I am available if you have any further questions
