I have a burning sensation in my nipples, when should I consult?

I have a burning sensation in my nipples. My breast seems normal, no discharge or redness. The pain is not constant but I feel peaks during the day and it radiates in my nipples. I thought it was due to my ovulation but it's been going on for about a week. I am expecting my period in 4-5 days.

In the absence of other symptoms, monitoring will be required for the time being. If the situation persists for more than 2 weeks or worsens, I suggest that you consult a doctor, purely as a precaution.
