I'm worried about the birth and baby going through it. Can I still take canesten locally?

40.3 weeks pregnant. Followed up with my doctor today and she says I have candida albicans (yeast infection). However, she says I am not being treated because I have no symptoms and it is normal.

Indeed, several references indicate that it is not necessary to treat in the absence of symptoms. Having said that, I can only comment on what your doctor has told you because she has much more information about your condition. I strongly recommend that you discuss this with her before starting any treatment.
