My son threw up in his sleep?

My 3 year old son threw up 2x yesterday afternoon. He was irritable and moody all day yesterday and today. Today he ate with little appetite but still (blueberry, peanut butter, yogurt, macaroni and cheese and pedialyte pops) and drank water. Once he went to sleep for the night, we were surprised to find that he had vomited in his sleep and was sleeping in his vomit. We took him to wash and lay him down in a clean bed and this did not wake him up.
