Good morning, ma'am,
What antibiotic are you currently taking?
Have any of your symptoms improved?

nitrofurantoin is my antibiotic and I have only one symptom: I always have to pee

And I still have the urge to urinate even though I've been taking antibiotics since Monday at dinner

Thanks for the feedback. We can expect an improvement of the symptoms 72 hours after the beginning of the treatment.
If this is not the case or if the situation worsens, I would suggest that the doctor be reconsulted for a culture or re-evaluation of the situation.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Is my UTI contagious because my boyfriend had a UTI and I had sex without a condom and then I got my UTI?

Can you tell me why I have them?

Or does it have nothing to do with that?

I would like to understand how I got it when it is not contagious?

Although a urinary tract infection is not considered "contagious", the bacteria that cause it can be passed on to your partner (and vice versa) during sex, especially if it is unprotected.
