I have an infection in my finger that started a week ago and has been stinking and painful ever since. My finger is red and tender. What should I do?

Hello Ma'am,
What you are describing may sound like a panic attack. In such a case, Polysporin™ is usually not sufficient. Instead, one should try the application of a Bactroban™ cream, available behind the pharmacist's counter but without a prescription. This cream is applied to the finger 3 times a day for 10 days.
If the finger shows no improvement in 3 days, one should go see a doctor.
Happy day,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
