I want to know if I can extend and my medication by taking it every other day instead of every day if they refuse to give me my next prescription for plaquenil next month?

Good evening ma'am,
It's really on a case-by-case basis, depending on how stable your disease is at the moment. In short, you really need to contact your rheumatologist to find out.
That said, be aware that once you stop the hydroxycholoroquine, it takes several weeks before there is none left in your body.
Sorry I can't be more specific right now :).
Good evening,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
