Once a mild hypoglycemia is controlled, if it occurs before a meal, should I take my insulin dose normally or not?

Hello,
Do you specifically have type 1 diabetes?
In principle, if you are no longer hypoglycemic at the time you are going to eat, you could inject the usual dose of insulin that will correspond to the amount of sugar you will ingest... However, it depends on what caused the hypoglycemia, as it may have been caused by too high a dose of insulin. If this is the case, you will have to adjust your dose to avoid triggering another hypoglycemic attack. Also have a GLUCAGON injection close by in case another hypoglycemic attack occurs again.
Certainly, your situation may require a deeper analysis of your background and in-person pharmacist management would be desirable. I have provided a lead here based on the few pieces of information you share with me. Since your pharmacist has access to your pharmacological file, do not hesitate to discuss this further with him/her if necessary... Otherwise, I remain available to respond to you if you have further questions or concerns.
Cordially,
