How long after eating should I measure my blood sugar?

Your blood sugar varies during the day. It is thus necessary to measure it at different times of the day, for example before or 2 hours after the morning, noon or nighttime meals, before bedtime, etc.

You do not always need to measure multiple times per day unless you take insulin before meals or unless otherwise instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. You can simply measure at a different time each day.
