Hello, if he is not taking any other medication, it is possible to take Tylenol and Advil alternately until the appointment, as long as it does not exceed 5 to 7 days. For example, you can take Tylenol every 6 hours and Advil every 8 hours with food (max: 8 Tylenol per day and 6 Advil 200mg per day).
