Hello Sir,
What exactly is your question?
47 -year-old man · 4 years ago
I was in a mountain bike accident in September. My kidney was damaged from a type 4 trauma. They decided to let it heal on its own. Now, after 3 months, I'm doing high pressure. Am I going to have to take pills for the rest of my life?

Thank you for these details.
When high pressure is caused by kidney damage (or kidney malfunction), it is usual for people to take medication for life, yes.
If the damage has been caused to the arteries that supply the kidneys, it is sometimes possible to perform surgery to allow good flow back to the kidney, resulting in a decrease in pressure.
You can discuss this with your doctor, who, depending on your injury, will be able to advise you.
It is my pleasure,
